believe me, you'll get one, and within months, you'll have 10. i have 55 and i'm nowhere near slowing down yet. haha!

does your mom know that the T won't be marching around? they stay in their enclosures and aren't prone to leaving them. and they're less venomous than most of the creatures that fly and wander into your house anyways.

good beginner choices! don't bother with grammostola initially, they're incredibly weird, behaviour wise. and the brachypelma are PRETTY ... look at B Auratum, B Emilia, B Boehmi... they're stunning.

Unfortunately I don't have any tarantulas yet. I'm still living at my parents house and my mom doesn't want a giant spider in her house so sadly I must wait until I get a place of my own which hopefully won't be too far in the future. I want to start out with one of the Brachypelma species. But I'm sure I'll eventually have more than one tarantula. The avicularia versicolor is my favorite aboreal and I think it would be a good choice as a "first" aboreal species for me.
